Thirty-one photoengravings used in printing illustrations for The divine comedy of Dante Alighieri (New York: Bruce Rogers & the Press of A. Colish, 1955). Printed in an edition of 300 numbered copies, the volume contained a translation by Charles Eliot Norton, with illustrations by Rogers after designs by Botticelli. Rogers referred to this project as "the most important book of my life." - Blumenthal, Bruce Rogers, p. 186. Twenty-two small photoengravings of decorated initials and one photoengraving of the colophon page device containing Bruce Rogers' initials. Gift of A. Colish, 1991.
